A Soft Start – New Year Reflection & Making Workshop

January doesn’t have to begin with pressure.

A Soft Start is a calm, in-person workshop designed to offer a gentler way to begin the year. Rather than focusing on resolutions or reinvention, this experience creates space to pause, reflect, and set intentions in a way that feels grounding and supportive.

Over the course of three hours, you’ll be guided through quiet reflection and journalling, followed by mindful making. You’ll create an intention candle and a renewal jar, and take time to explore your focus for the year ahead through a simple vision or energy board. A printed reflection journal will be provided for you to use during the session and take home with you afterwards.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and requires no prior spiritual or creative experience. Everything is offered gently and without pressure, and there is no expectation to share or perform in any way. You’re welcome to engage at a pace that feels right for you.
